Services

Swindon Viewpoint is Britain’s original and longest-running Community TV service – and as such holds a special place in Britain’s media story.

First launched in 1973, and originally operating over cable, you can now find us online at www.swindonviewpoint.com where you will find thousands of videos and photographs of local interest.  The oldest was made over a century ago, the newest just this week!

Western Film Archive logo

Western Film Archive was set up as a not–for–profit initiative in 1988 to collect, preserve and make available audio-visual material from North Wiltshire and the West of England.

The collection is an invaluable resource to local Schools and History Groups, for finding out what the town used to look and be like and for helping old folks reminisce.

Media Aid Logo

Media Aid is the new name for our training support service.

We search and apply for specific funding grants to enable us to deliver low or no-cost media training to local Community & Voluntary Sector organisations.  Income earned from our professional media services enable us to offer further training, to groups as well as individual members of the community who demonstrate a need for support.
